Have you gone through carwashes and noticed the large amount of water being used to wash cars? I wonder if all the water is recycled back into use or down the drain and into the sewer system. So, I asked and found out some places actually have water recovery systems to recycle the water back into use while other places simply release it down the drain. Your dishwasher also uses water in the same way. Excessive water usage for one load of dishes. The water from the dishwasher goes directly into the drain.
Almost all of my car washes are at SuperAmerica and Holiday stations. However, these places don't really tell you if their system is GREEN. Even if these places did have GREEN systems, it was not obvious to me.
Carwash places need to advertise what their system features so that customers can make an informed decision. If you are a savvy carwash owner or a supplier, take note. People are always looking for alternatives to leave a smaller carbon footprint.
